CISD will be celebrating Generation Texas Week November 27-December 1. This is a time we emphasize the wonderful possibilities for your child’s future. We encourage all students to think about the next step after high school graduation. To celebrate this week we invite you to participate with us:
Monday, November 27 – As we explore career opportunities, students are asked to dress for the chosen career path they would like to pursue. “If I had a job I would like to be…..”
Tuesday, November 28 – Teachers will share information about college and answer questions about the college experience. Wear a college shirt that day.
Wednesday, November 29 – This is our Transition Day. We will talk to students about the schools they will attend after Mitchell Intermediate. On this day, students can wear a McCullough, TWHS, Mitchell, or any of their elementary t-shirts.
Thursday, November 30 – We will talk about opportunities for students other than 4 year colleges. I “salute” you, “If not college, then what?” Wear red, white, and blue.
Friday, December 1 – As a fun conclusion to our Education Week, we will all wear neon. “Your future is so bright let your education shine!” We have high expectations for your children, and we believe in their future. They are our future!
