Destination Imagination

Destination Imagination ImagiNation (DI) is an innovative educational program that invites student teams from all over the world to solve mind-bending Challenges. DI is designed to teach three essential skills: Teamwork, Creativity, and Problem Solving. Parent volunteers to coach teams are essential to the success of establishing teams. If you are interested or have questions, please contact Terrie Rascoe at

  • Challenges– A Destination ImagiNation Challenge is an exercise that socially and intellectually activates students by prompting them to use creativity and teamwork to create solutions to two separate types of Challenges: Team Challenges and Instant Challenges.
  • When Do I Do DI?– The Destination ImagiNation (DI) season closely corresponds to a school year. Each DI season begins in late September/early October. Teams meet weekly or biweekly to prepare for the local tournament usually held in February. Teams that advance will then participate in the state tournament, and they may be invited to attend the Global Finals in May. Applications and Tryouts?-Applications are available in the front office and need to be completed and returned to the office by Thursday, September 6.
  • Want to help coach a team?-We are always in search of new DI coaches! In order for every student to participate, we have to have the right number of coaches. If you are interested in coaching your child’s DI team, email Terrie Rascoe at
