Interim STAAR Testing
Our campus will administer the Interim STAAR Reading and Math test online this year. This assessment will be used to measure student progress and to help students become familiar with the new state online testing platform. District benchmarks were previously used to measure student progress throughout the year and to help teachers identify specific grade-level standards to target and re-teach.
Our campus will participate in both the November STAAR interim assessment as well as the February interim assessment. The actual grade-level STAAR test will be administered in May. The November testing schedule for our campus is as follows:
- 6th Grade Math – 11/2 (Tuesday)
- 6th Grade Reading – 11/3 (Wednesday)
- 5th Grade Math – 11/9 (Tuesday)
- 5th Grade Reading – 11/10 (Wednesday)
We will have an altered schedule for testing on 11/2 and 11/3 ONLY, which is included for informational purposes. Testing will begin each morning by 9:00 am. P/E, Fine Arts, Lunch, and recess times may be different from normal times on these days.
