Students will take the State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness (STAAR) test online this year. Fifth graders will take Reading, Science, and Math, and sixth graders will take Reading and Math. If at all possible, please do not schedule appointments on these days. We want to make every attempt not to interrupt classes. Please be sure your child eats a balanced breakfast and gets plenty of rest. Students will begin testing by 9:15 a.m. To prevent interrupting testing, we have made adjustments to PE/Fine Arts times as well as lunch times. Students in the grade level testing on a particular day will have a later lunch and attend PE/Fine Arts in the afternoon. Students in the grade level not testing on a particular day will have PE/Fine Arts in the morning and an earlier lunch time.

Testing guidelines do not allow anyone to visit children while the test is being administered. Parents will not be permitted to eat lunch or deliver lunch to their child on testing days. We appreciate your support as we make every effort to maintain confidentiality.
